Shoot Like A Woman – Part I & Part II

Me Ra Koh

Photography has a history of intimidating women and being a man’s hobby with all the technology involved.  But times are changing!  Women are finding empowerment and voice through their camera.  And yet, there is still the overwhelming experience of opening your camera manual and not understanding a word.  “Shoot Like a Woman” is going to change that!

There are three parts to shooting like a woman; understanding your camera (the technical aspects that will change your photos overnight), identifying and implementing key story telling elements to capture your audience, and allowing your heart to be your guide versus a shot list.  Me Ra Koh inspires thousands of a women each year through conferences and photography workshops.  She is the photo expert for NBC’s The Nate Berkus Show.  She has a heart to empower the women of Blissdom 2012 by bringing change to our understanding of photography.  Get ready ladies, regardless of whether you are a beginner or advanced, bring your camera, notebook and creative spirit (and probably Kleenex too).  This session is going to take your understanding of photography to a whole new level!

Me Ra Koh is proudly sponsored by Sony.

Capturing The Moment: No Matter What Subjects You Like To Shoot

Aimee Giese

Aimee Giese believes the heart of photography is capturing the moment. That moment is different for each photographer, whether they shoot portraits, nature, architecture, or simply snap the kids on a phone. There are techniques that can help a photographer see the moment before it happens, prepare for it, and also get the most of the moment after the shot. Aimee’s photos take you to exactly where she was when she had he camera in hand – and she would like to help you reflect that in your photography too.
